What is CBD Coffee?
Simply put, CBD Coffee is coffee infused with CBD extract. CBD can be infused during the roasting process, which allows your brew to maintain its traditional flavor. Or, it can be added to your java during preparation using CBD Oil or distillate powder.
Benefits of Adding CBD to Your Coffee
Most people reach for a premium roast looking for a morning energy boost or a midday pick-me-up. But as any avid coffee drinker knows, one cup too many or an ill-timed refill can leave you with a slew of side effects: jitters, headaches, midday sluggishness, digestive issues, increased anxiety and more.
Although CBD may seem like an unlikely addition due to its calming properties, it may actually promote balance and enhance your workday experience when used in conjunction with your cuppa. Those who drink CBD-infused Coffee often report feeling:
ā¢ Calmness
ā¢ Stress and anxiety relief
ā¢ Increased focus
ā¢ Fewer jitters
ā¢ Decreased digestive discomfort by lowering acidity
3 Ways to Make CBD Coffee
1. Brew It
You can find most coffee-making essentials online these days, including CBD Coffee grounds. This product results from infusing CBD into the natural oils of the coffee beans during the roasting process. This method is more complex but helps the coffee keep its regular flavor.
You would brew this coffee in the same way as normal grounds. Typically, a bag of CBD-infused Coffee grounds will yield only about 4-6 cups, which may not suffice for the average coffee lover. Plus, if you need more CBD than the listed serving size (which can range from 5 to 15mg per cup), you may benefit from a different form of CBD Coffee.
2. Order It
Youāve probably noticed countless sidewalk signs advertising new CBD lattes and teas outside of local coffee shops. Just like your favorite flavors, alternative milks and other coffee embellishments, you likely can add a serving of CBD into your beverage for a slight upcharge ā but that can add up over time. Additionally, you donāt have any control over the brand thatās being used in your drink, nor the assurance youāre receiving a safe CBD coffee.
Despite its popularity, CBD has not yet been approved for use in food and drinks, which means you should proceed with caution when purchasing from these locations. Thankfully, it can be even simpler and more cost-efficient to make your own CBD coffee at home or from the office.
3. Make It
Making your own CBD coffee can be as simple or fancy as you please. You can buy a pre-made coffee at your favorite shop and add your desired serving of oil, or you can start from scratch and make your own cup. Either way, there are countless methods when it comes to incorporating CBD into your morning drink.
Purchasing your own CBD Oil allows you to add a wellness boost to any cup of coffee, any time, anywhere. You can have peace of mind in knowing exactly where your CBD came from and verifying that it is safe for you to use through publicly accessible third-party lab test results.
And with delicious flavors like chocolate mint and orange creamsicle, you can even enhance the delicious flavor you already enjoy. Plus, you have more freedom over your serving size ā add as much or as little as you like with tincture concentrations ranging from 300mg to 5000mg. Hemp Bombs Pro Tip: Cooking with CBD can be a balancing act, as it loses some of its benefits at temperatures ranging from 320 to 356 degrees Fahrenheit. Fortunately, your CBD-infused coffee should not get much hotter than this, but you may decide to add a slightly higher dose to account for degradation and the bioavailability of oils/edibles.
How Much CBD Coffee Should I Drink?
As with most beverages, CBD-infused Coffee is best in moderation. When it comes to deciding your CBD serving size for your morning java, you should err on the smaller side. CBD in small doses can be energizing and increase wakefulness. However, if your intake is too large, you may become tired or sluggish during your workday.
There are already plenty of people incorporating CBD in their daily roast and sharing advice for finding the perfect balance. Some tips include limiting CBD to your first or second cupā¦ not both. You risk taking too much CBD for a productive day when adding the compound to multiple cups. Others find that using CBD in your second cup is most beneficial as it allows your first cup of coffee to fully kick in and can help ease the effects of the additional caffeine later.
